Protocol and Guidelines
Below is a list of things we need from you before we are able to investigate and what you can expect to happen during and after:
Please keep in mind that these
guidelines are meant to help us to capture the very best
evidence possible.
1) The
purpose of SWAT Paranormal is to find credible scientific
evidence of the paranormal. As such, we do not make use of
séances, Ouija boards, or religious provocation in an attempt to
obtain evidence.
2) We must insist that everyone be clear headed and free of drugs and or alcohol. We want everyone to have a safe and accurate investigation.
3) We also request that there be no smoking in or near where the investigation is taking place. Again, we want to be sure that we capture true evidence and often times smoke interferes with digital imaging.
4) We understand that your friends and or neighbors might be interested in the paranormal and would like to be present for the investigation. We request that only those living in the home be present. The fewer people in the home the better. We have several investigators on each case and with equipment things can get quite crowded. Be assured though that if any evidence is caught, we will be sure to provide you with a copy to share.
5) S.W.A.T is respectful of the living and deceased alike. Please give the deceased the respect you would want for yourself. We do not condone enticing, provoking and otherwise speaking ill to any entity that may be in your home.
6) No horseplay during and investigation. The last thing we want is anyone to be hurt or to play pranks that ruin possible evidence.
Please understand that these guidelines are not only for the benefit of the SWAT research team but the client as well.
Our goal is to assist you in capturing the very best evidence possible and to help in any way we can to help you resolve any problems you are having.
All investigations are confidential and no location and or names will be disclosed upon your request . Please contact us before the investigation to give us any special instructions or information we should now.
Upon arrival we will have the necessary forms for you to sign, releasing you of liability in your home and the confidentiality agreement as well. If at anytime you are uncomfortable during an investigation, please let us know. It is our goal to help! If you wish to stop the investigation or leave the location we will understand.

During and investigation: What to expect
S.W.A.T will contact you over the phone to go over the details of your case.
A convenient time will be set for both parties.
We will arrive before dark with a team of up to 10 investigators depending on the size of the location. Photographs will be taken as control photos to compare evidence.
We then do what we call and EMF sweep. This means that we will walk the perimeter and exterior of the home looking for the natural patterns of EMF (See Glossary) in and around the location. We use different types of meters and will be recording any patterns in a notebook or recorder.
We may set up video cameras in areas that are reported to have activity as well.
Infrared thermometers are used throughout the location to measure temperature fluctuations.
Numerous photos will be taken throughout with digital and 35 mm cameras.
We will attempt to record EVPs (see Glossary) digital and analog recorders will be used and information will be logged.
This process will begin in the evening and can last several hours. Paranormal theories tell us that between 9p.m and 4a.m. the most activity is reported.
After the investigation our research team will thoroughly inspect all photographs and recordings using software to analyze all the evidence. If any evidence is found you will be contacted and a copies of information can be provided to you
